Strategic Advisory / Industry Electrification
We model industrial processes and flexible assets alongside our power and balancing market forecasts to build the business case for greenfield and brownfield investment in energy-intensive projects.

We map a client’s industrial processes and flexibility levers to identify viable electrification pathways, then evaluate them using our in-house optimisation alongside power price and balancing market forecasts, testing financial and environmental performance and sensitivities.
This gives clients a clear view of their optimal setup, and the financial viability and risk of a project, before any investment is committed. It matters most for industry with energy-intensive processes and district heat providers, asking questions like how to size electrolysers and hydrogen storage, whether electric boilers make sense for Swedish district heating, or how heat pumps and boiler electrification compare once energy market risk is factored in.
QPO, our long-term power market forecast, is the foundation our industry electrification projects are built on. The underlying model has been published in a scientific journal and is used by some of the largest power off-takers in Sweden: a trusted, tested forecast.
Opti, our optimisation tool for industrial processes, connects directly to our power price and balancing market forecasting models. This gives a complete view of an industrial electrification project, from the market intelligence behind the power forecasts through to a client's own parameters and constraints in the process optimisation.
Coupling our optimisation to our power market model lets energy-intensive clients see how their own project or site could move power prices. With optimisation and forecasting under one roof, we can factor in the price spikes or drops a project itself might cause when optimising industrial electrification.
Quantified Carbon was founded to work on some of Sweden's largest hydrogen projects, with clients including LKAB and SSAB. That work built a close understanding of the challenges industry faces, from grid constraints to market dynamics. The team's experience spans thermodynamics, power and balancing markets, policy and regulation, and financial and grid modelling.
